What is the ruling on desiring to listen to or recite certain surahs from the Quran and loving them?

The entire Book of Allah is a blessing and goodness, and its recitation is an act of worship for which the reward is magnified. Whoever recites a single letter from the Qur'an receives a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied tenfold. There is no harm in loving certain chapters (surahs) of the Qur'an and reciting them. This is evidenced by the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) statement to someone who regularly recited Surah Al-Ikhlas: "Your love for it will admit you into Paradise." And there are chapters for which specific encouragement to recite them has been authentically reported.
