Are trailing one's garment, trimming the beard, and dyeing it black considered major sins?

Ispal (allowing one's garment to hang below the ankles) is divided into two types: The first is that which is done out of arrogance (khuyala'), and this is among the major sins (kaba'ir adh-dhunub), due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Allah will not look at the one who drags his lower garment out of arrogance." The second is that which is done without arrogance, and this is unlawful (haram), its sin being less than the first. However, it becomes a major sin if one persists in it.

As for shaving the beard, trimming it, and dyeing it black, these are unlawful (haram), and persisting in them is a major sin. Some scholars have considered dyeing the beard black to be among the major sins, due to the severe warning mentioned concerning its perpetrator.

It is obligatory to be cautious of disobedience, no matter how small it may seem, for minor sins accumulate and destroy their perpetrator, as stated in the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Beware of trivial sins."
