Is the concern with reforming the issue of attributing guardianship to the mother in the family, which is prevalent in one's society and results in negative effects on men, considered among the blameworthy worldly matters that might divert one from the Afterlife, or does it fall under the pursuit of reform with the intention of seeking the Abode of the Hereafter? And what is the interpretation of "And for men is a degree over them" in this context?

There is no objection to a woman managing household affairs such as food, drink, and expenditures. However, guardianship (qawamah), authority over marriage, and financial control belong to the man, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "Men are guardians over women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property." Prophethood, judgeship, imamate, and all other forms of authority are exclusive to men. If qawamah in your society is for women, then you must clarify the truth to the people, bearing in mind that a man's qawamah does not mean domination, but rather the care of religious and worldly interests with mercy and kindness.
