What is the authenticity and interpretation of Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab's statement, "When a man dies, his father receives him just as one receives a traveler returning from absence," as mentioned in Ibn al-Qayyim's book, "Kitab Ar-Ruh" (The Book of the Soul)?

We were unable to ascertain who attributed this statement to someone other than Ibn Al-Musayyab, nor did we find anyone who attributed it to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, or to any of his Companions. If its elevation to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is not established, then it is considered maqtu' (severed), and maqtu' is a category of the da'if (weak) hadith.
