What is the religious ruling on parents refusing a suitor who is competent, of good character, and religious, but has a temporary, treatable infertility problem and is thirteen years her senior?

Infertility is considered a defect in marriage, and the suitor must disclose it. The fiancée has the right to accept or reject him. If the fiancée does not become aware of it until after the marriage, she has the right to seek annulment unless she accepts the defect. Having children is a desired blessing in marriage, so a woman should not marry an infertile man unless she knows that his condition can be treated. If the family rejects this suitor, they are excused. However, if the fiancée believes he is suitable due to his character and religiosity, and the possibility of treating his infertility, she should convince her family to accept him. Marriage is not valid without a guardian, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There is no marriage except with a guardian," and "Any woman who marries without the permission of her guardian, her marriage is void."
