Is it permissible to buy wheat grains and plant them in the pathways leading to Al-Baqi' to feed the birds, knowing that they will be trampled upon?

Feeding birds is encouraged, as indicated by the Hadith in Bukhari: "In every wet liver (living being) there is a reward," and the Hadith in Muslim: "No Muslim plants a tree or cultivates a crop from which a bird, a human, or an animal eats, but it will be charity for him." Food should be kept away from waste and being trampled by feet, by placing it in an elevated spot.
