Is it permissible to pray for a specific sum of money to meet a need, purchase essential supplies, and engage in charitable acts, knowing that the father is unemployed and the girl is unable to work due to her responsibilities?

Supplication (Du'a) is a great act of worship and a means of drawing closer to Allah Almighty. Allah has commanded us to ask Him and to be persistent in supplication, no matter how great or small the need, even if it is as trivial as a broken shoelace. One must have a good opinion of Allah when supplicating and increase in seeking forgiveness. For whoever adheres to seeking forgiveness, Allah will make for him a way out of every difficulty and a relief from every anxiety. The Prophet, peace be upon him, guided Abu Umama when he asked him about his worries and debts, to say: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from inability and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and from being overpowered by men." The response to supplication is realized when the servant is truthful in believing Allah's promise. This response takes various forms, including: immediate fulfillment, reserving it for the Hereafter, or averting evil from the supplicant. Allah knows best what is good for His servant. One of the most important reasons for the acceptance of supplication is consuming lawful (halal) earnings, for Allah is good and accepts only that which is good.
