Does the lawsuit of attempted murder and slander filed against the husband drop if the wife requests a divorce, or can she divorce and continue with the lawsuit?

Requesting a divorce does not nullify a wife's claim of harm inflicted by her husband; rather, what has been stipulated by scholars indicates the opposite. A wife has the right to seek divorce from her husband due to harm, which is something not permissible by Shar'i law, such as him abandoning her without a Shar'i reason, or beating her, or insulting her, or insulting her father. The husband is disciplined for this, in addition to the divorce.
