Your feeling of deterioration is an indication of the righteousness of your heart. We advise you to supplicate to Allah and seek His help. Following the path of rectitude requires striving against the self and sincere resolve. Allah Almighty says: "And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways." Watching pornographic movies is forbidden, and repentance from it is obligatory. Forcing yourself to feel remorse will lead you to good. As for daydreams, one is not held accountable for rejecting and repelling them. However, if they settle in the heart and one finds comfort in them, one might be held accountable, because belief is an action of the heart. What helps in stopping them is supplication and striving against the self, and being keen on guarding one's thoughts and directing one's efforts towards the benefits of religion and worldly life. Ibn al-Qayyim says: "Indeed, the root of all corruption comes from them [thoughts]; because they are the seeds of Satan and the self in the land of the heart." We also advise you to be diligent in fasting, seeking righteous companionship, and exerting efforts in searching for a righteous husband.
