Is the statement, "Muhammad ﷺ was not mentioned in a difficulty except that it was eased," accurate in associating the easing of matters with the mention of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, knowing that Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, is the One Who eases matters?

Facilitating and complicating matters are solely in the hands of Allah. Many texts indicate this meaning. Our master Moses (peace be upon him) asked his Lord to ease his matter for him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate to his Lord to facilitate guidance for him. Also, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught his companions Istikhara, in which a servant asks his Lord to facilitate a matter if it is good for him. Nothing is facilitated except by the permission of Allah alone, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «O Allah, there is no ease except in what You have made easy, and You can make what is difficult easy if You wish.»

As for the phrase "Muhammad ﷺ was never mentioned in a difficulty except that it was eased," it is an ambiguous phrase that can contain both truth and falsehood. The one who says it might mean that merely mentioning the name of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) eases difficult matters, but there is no evidence for this. If he means that by mentioning the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and sending blessings upon him, Allah relieves worries and removes hardship, then this is true, as stated in the hadith where the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «Then your worries will be relieved, and your sins will be forgiven» to one who makes all his supplications and prayers for him. Therefore, ambiguous phrases like this should be avoided, and clear wording should be used, such as: Sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) relieves worries and eases difficulties by Allah's will, or wherever the Prophet's Sharia was present, there was ease and spaciousness.
