The answer

The location of the House was known to Adam, peace be upon him, and it is said that he was the one who laid its foundations. Then Abraham and Ishmael, peace be upon them, raised the foundations. It has been reported in hadiths and narrations that all prophets performed Hajj to the House since Adam. In a hadith, it is mentioned that the angels used to perform Hajj to it before Adam, and then Adam performed Hajj. Urwah ibn al-Zubayr explicitly stated that there was no prophet who did not perform Hajj to the House, except for Hud and Salih, and that Noah performed Hajj to it. He also stated that the House became a red mound after the flood, and Hud did not perform Hajj to it, but Abraham performed Hajj to it, and no prophet after him remained but performed Hajj to it.
