What is the ruling on a traveler breaking their fast on an airplane if their journey began one or two hours before iftar? Should they break their fast according to the timing of the country they departed from, or the country they are headed to?

A traveler on an airplane does not break their fast until the disk of the sun disappears from their sight. As long as the disk is clearly visible, they must continue to fast, because breaking the fast is contingent upon the sunset for them. So, whenever the sun sets, the fasting person breaks their fast, whether they are on the ground or in the air. The criterion is the sunset in the country you are in, based on the Almighty's saying: (Then complete the fast until the night).
