Is it permissible to watch films that depict the lives of prophets through actors portraying their roles?

Depicting prophets and messengers in films and TV series is a grave evil, because it involves impersonating figures whom Allah chose for prophethood and messengership, and who are the best of humankind. Their status is too exalted for their image to be represented. It has been established that Satan cannot assume the form of prophets, as a protection for them. Whoever impersonates them through acting fabricates lies against them and distorts their biographies. If acting is forbidden, then watching and possessing such media are also forbidden, due to the promotion of these films that results from them, and this falls under cooperation in sin and aggression.
