All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and companions. To proceed:

There is no contradiction between seeking knowledge and marriage; it is possible to combine them. If the knowledge is an individual obligation (fard ayn), such as learning the fundamentals of Islam, then knowledge takes precedence, followed by marriage. If the knowledge is a communal obligation (fard kifayah) or not obligatory, then marriage takes precedence due to the strong encouragement for it. What has become widespread regarding the rejection of marriage before completing studies contradicts the Sunnah of the Prophet, which encourages and promotes marriage, and it also misses out on many benefits of marriage.
