The person suffering from سلس (incontinence) must wash the area of impurity before performing ablution (Wudu’) when the time for prayer begins. They should then bind it with a cloth and take precautions to the best of their ability. Istinja’ (cleaning oneself after urinating or defecating) involves purifying the exit point from urine after it has stopped or become light. After that, whatever exits does not matter. Water does not increase impurity; rather, it overcomes or lightens it.
