Is repentance accepted from one who practiced masturbation and then returned to it? And does the Angel of Death say: "If I had known that my soul would be taken, I would not have taken anyone's soul"?

The aforementioned phrase was not mentioned in a Hadith, and it appears to be reprehensible. Angels do not disobey Allah, and they act upon His command. The phrase in question contains a resolve to disobey, unlike what Allah recounted about the disbelievers when they wish to return to righteous deeds at the approach of death.
