The answer

There is no doubt that listening to the recitation of the Quran is recommended, and some scholars have even deemed it obligatory. The administration playing recorded recitations during break time is inappropriate because it is usually a time for students to play and make noise, and it is their available time for talking and socializing. The administration ought to choose a different time so that the Quran is not disrespected or debased, as it is the glorious word of Allah.

If the administration wishes to play something beneficial for the students, they could play a religious lecture or poems that encourage noble character, or similar content that is not Quranic recitation, and reserve the recitation of the Quran for another time that is befitting of it.
