Can the envious eye affect a person's possessions, such as a farm or a car? And what are the methods of prevention and treatment for that?

A person may afflict themselves and their property with the evil eye. To guard against this before it occurs, one should supplicate for blessings, continuously thank Allah for His favors, and recall that these are a grace from Him, the Almighty, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “If one of you sees something in himself, his property, or his brother that he admires, let him pray for blessings for it, for the evil eye is real.” As for after its occurrence, we have already explained the remedy in previous fatwas.
