Does extreme languor in worship, and being content with the obligatory prayers without devotion, indicate hypocrisy, and is prayer acceptable in this state?

Congregational prayer is an obligation upon every able-bodied man. As for the increase and decrease of faith, that is true, and its cause is either obeying Allah’s command and performing sincere acts of worship, or committing acts of disobedience. A period of languor (futūr) may arise from certain transgressions. Hypocrisy is of two types: hypocrisy that expels one from the fold of Islam, which is the outward display of Islam while concealing disbelief; and practical hypocrisy, which is found among many Muslims. One must repent from negligence in prayer and other duties, and make up for the prayers missed during the past period.
