Is it permissible to delay the burial of the deceased until his relatives arrive from other cities, based on their request?

It is not permissible to delay the funeral except for the necessity of preparing the deceased or waiting for relatives and neighbors, provided that this delay is not customarily prolonged, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Hasten with the Janazah (funeral)." It is not permissible to hold mourning gatherings or erect mourning tents. It is permissible to pray over the grave for those who did not attend the funeral prayer for the deceased in their city, for a period of two months, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed over the grave of Umm Sa'd one month after her burial.
