Does the virtue and reward of Surat Al-Baqarah differ between reading it and listening to it, or are the two the same?

Frequent recitation of the Holy Quran has immense benefits and numerous advantages. It is among the greatest means of fulfilling needs, achieving goals, and curing psychological and physical ailments, as well as protecting against them. Allah Almighty said: "And We send down from the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe" [Quran 17:82], and "O mankind, there has to come to you an admonition from your Lord and a healing for what is in the breasts" [Quran 10:57]. Listening to the Quran also contains great good and immense reward, as Allah Almighty said: "And when the Quran is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy" [Quran 7:204]. However, reading and reciting the Quran is better and yields a greater reward. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah will have a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied tenfold." So, if you are able to read and ponder the meaning, there is no doubt that this is better and yields a greater reward. If you are unable to, then persist in listening.
