Is it permissible to supplicate using the noble verse: "Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and we have followed the messenger, so register us among the witnesses," even though it was uttered by the disciples, among whom were hypocrisy and falsehood?

The disciples (al-Hawariyyun) were the companions and supporters of Jesus, son of Mary (peace be upon him). Allah described them in the Quran with Islam (submission) and Iman (faith), and praised them. The verse: (And they schemed, and Allah schemed; and Allah is the best of schemers) refers to the disbelievers among the Children of Israel who plotted against the Messiah and sought to kill him, but Allah saved him from them. It does not refer to the disciples. The supplication: (Our Lord, we have believed in what You sent down and followed the messenger, so register us among the witnesses) is uttered by a believing and praised group, and there is no harm in supplicating with it.
