Am I entitled to involve my family to intervene in the problem of my husband staying out late and being tardy for work, despite his stubbornness and difficulty to deal with, and my fear for my children?

The Shari'ah forbids staying up late for no valid reason, especially if it leads to neglecting important matters. If the husband does not adhere to the agreed-upon work hours stipulated in the contract, then the money he receives for the hours he fails to attend is not lawful for him.

Advise your husband to seek lawful earnings, to avoid staying up late without a valid reason, and to fulfill his obligations towards his wife, children, and work. If advice does not help, then involve some wise individuals from your family to speak with him. If that also proves ineffective, then you have the right to separate from him through divorce or khul'.
