Why do people need religion; aren't laws sufficient to regulate their lives?

Mankind's need for religion is greater than their need for life's necessities. The divine law distinguishes between beneficial and harmful actions, and life cannot be lived without divine law. No matter how many ideas and theories proliferate, they will not suffice in place of the true religion that fulfills the requirements of both the soul and the body.

True religion is the divine sustenance for the soul's various faculties, and it is the protective shield for society. Human life can only be established through cooperation and order, which guarantee rights and duties, and their respect is only ensured by the authority of religiosity.

Creed and faith are the self-monitor for humanity, and they are of two types: belief in virtue, and belief in Allah Almighty from Whom the Sharia derives its authority. This latter type is the most powerful in influencing the soul and resisting whims.

Religion is the best guarantee for fair dealings between people; it is a social necessity and holds the position of the heart in the body.
