What is the religious ruling regarding a husband's disregard for his other wife's feelings during intercourse, and the consequences thereof, such as her hearing the sounds of intercourse and the ghusl (ritual bath) due to proximity, and his refusal to create a partition between the two wives?

"Modesty is from faith," and it includes covering oneself during intercourse from the sight and hearing of others. The presence of a distinguished person who is awake with the couple in the house, seeing or hearing their movements, violates this covering, which is disliked by scholars. As Al-Hasan Al-Basri was asked about a man who has two wives in one house, he said: "They used to dislike for him to have intercourse with one while the other sees or hears." Therefore, the wife should gently advise her husband, and if he does not respond, there is no need to cause problems.
