What advice can help solve the problem of lack of blessing in money that the spouses have been suffering from since their marriage?

The greatest cause for obtaining blessing (barakah) in religious matters and worldly affairs is the piety (taqwa) of Allah, by fulfilling His commands and avoiding His prohibitions. Disobedience diminishes the blessing of one's lifespan, sustenance, knowledge, deeds, and acts of worship, whereas piety demonstrates its blessing in the entirety of a person's life.

Therefore, sincere repentance (tawbah nasuh) and increasing the remembrance of Allah (dhikr) and seeking forgiveness (istighfar) are necessary, for they are among the greatest causes of strength and blessing.

Furthermore, piety towards Allah in matters of sustenance is among the greatest causes of blessing. This is achieved by seeking wealth from purely lawful sources and striving to earn a livelihood without disobeying Allah.

It is also important to be economical in living and moderate in spending, and not to imitate others, because responsibility is proportionate to what Allah has bestowed.

Finally, patience in times of hardship and difficulty in living, for indeed with hardship comes ease, and Allah will remove the difficulty and lift the burden.
