What is the sin incurred by a husband who is very irritable with his obedient wife for the most trivial reasons?

A husband must treat his wife with kindness. Insulting and harming the wife contradicts this and constitutes forbidden ill-treatment. The husband sins by doing so unless the wife forgives him. Therefore, the husband must cease his harm and repent to Allah. The wife's patience in enduring her husband's harm is rewarded, and she should avoid what provokes his anger and try to calm him down with wisdom.
