Is it permissible for a father to distribute his possessions among his children—two males and one female—before his death, such that the male receives a share equivalent to that of two females, and all the children are content with this division?

If a father distributes his property to his children as a complete gift and transfer of ownership, this is Islamically permissible, and each child owns what was given to them if they took possession of it before his death. However, if the distribution is in the form of inheritance that takes effect after his death, it is not Islamically permissible because he is still alive. It is commendable to be just among children in gifting, with males and females receiving equal shares.
