The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to consistently perform congregational prayers on time every day, observe the regular Sunnah prayers (both before and after the obligatory ones) and make them up if he missed them. He also frequently sought forgiveness and repented, maintained the remembrance of Allah (dhikr) after the prescribed prayers, and was diligent in performing night prayers (Qiyam al-Layl).
