What is the ruling on a husband who neglects sexual intimacy with his wife under the pretext of fatigue and children, knowing that he expends his energy on other unbeneficial matters, which drives the wife to masturbate?

The duration of intercourse between spouses varies, and Ibn Taymiyyah preferred that it should be as much as is sufficient according to what is customary, as it is one of the most emphasized rights of the wife. The husband must fear Allah and treat his wife with kindness. As for the wife, she is advised to be patient and to be a good companion to her husband, and to avoid masturbation, which is forbidden, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And those who guard their private parts Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed – But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors."
