Will entry into Paradise be based on the number of Qur'anic verses a Muslim has recited in this world, limited to recitation only, or is memorization also required?

It is said to the reciter of the Qur’an: "Recite and ascend, and recite distinctly as you used to recite in the worldly life, for your status is at the last verse you recite." And it is said to the companion of the Qur’an when he enters Paradise: "Recite and ascend," so he recites and ascends a degree with every verse until he recites the last thing he has. The intended meaning is the memorizer of the Qur’an who acted upon it in the worldly life, obeying its commands and avoiding its prohibitions. This great reward is attained by whoever memorizes the Qur’an and perfects its performance and recitation. So, whoever desires this good must memorize the Qur’an and perfect its Tajweed.
