The Hanbalis permit wiping over the turban and head covering (khimar) without necessity, and they set conditions for this, similar to those for wiping over the leather socks (khuffayn), in terms of time limits and wearing them after purification. As for those other than the Hanbalis, who do not permit wiping over them except out of necessity, they do not stipulate for them the conditions that apply to the khuffayn, nor do they set time limits for them, because it is a wiping due to necessity, like wiping over a splint (jabirah).
