Is it permissible to agree upon divorce after the end of the school year, taking into consideration the rights of the children?

Agreement to divorce, if it is merely a promise of divorce from the husband, does not constitute a divorce, and the marriage remains valid until the husband pronounces it. It is advised not to rush into divorce except after exhausting all means of reconciliation. It is preferable for the marital life to continue amicably, especially with the presence of children.
