What is the ruling on selling written papers, whose seller claims they are a talisman (hijab) to counteract sorcery, and this talisman contains Quranic verses and supplications, knowing that the seller attributes these papers to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, without proof?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not command the selling of papers for the treatment of an afflicted person. Rather, this is a fabrication and a lie against Allah and His Messenger. The guidance of the righteous predecessors in treating the afflicted was through supplication and lawful incantations (ruqyah). Therefore, it is obligatory to emulate them and follow their guidance.

It is not permissible to sell these papers at mosque entrances or elsewhere, as it constitutes cooperation in sin and aggression.

It is obligatory to advise those who fabricate lies against Allah and His Messenger, and those who buy or distribute these papers, as this falls under the category of enjoining good and forbidding evil.

It should be noted that {إِلْ يَاسِينَ} (Il Yasin) is written with five letters and is not abbreviated like {يس} (Yasin).
