A person afflicted with سلس ( سلس البول or incontinence ) should tie a cloth or similar item around the area of impurity to prevent the impurity from reaching the clothes or body. If tissues prevent the impurity from reaching the underwear and body, then this is sufficient. It is permissible to follow the Maliki school of thought regarding the issue of سلس without sin, and an ordinary Muslim is allowed to follow any of the recognized schools of thought among the people of knowledge, as long as they are not merely seeking out dispensations.
