What is the ruling concerning the fetal fluids and fetal membranes of different animals with regard to their purity or impurity, as well as the inflammatory fluids resulting from various inflammations (such as inflammations of the uterus and reproductive system)?

Amniotic fluids and membranes are pure if they are from an animal whose meat is permissible to eat and are free of blood. This is the view of Imam Malik, and it is supported by the Prophet's (peace be upon him) command to the 'Urainiyyin to drink the urine and milk of camels. As for what comes from an animal whose meat is not permissible to eat, it is impure. The placenta is impure from every animal, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Verily, whatever is cut off from a living being is dead [and thus impure]."
