What is the interpretation of the Hadith: "Indeed, the religion is easy, and no one makes the religion difficult except that it overwhelms him, so be moderate and come close, and receive good tidings, and seek help in the morning and evening journeys, and a little from the night travel"?

Religion is ease. Allah has removed from this nation the burdens that were placed upon those before them, and no one will challenge religion except that it will overcome him. This does not mean abandoning the pursuit of perfection in worship, but rather preventing extremism that leads to boredom, neglecting what is better, or delaying an obligatory act beyond its prescribed time. "Be upright" means adhere to what is right without excess or neglect. "Draw near" means if you cannot achieve perfection, then do what approximates it. "And rejoice" in the reward for continuous action, even if it is little. "Seek assistance with the morning departure, the evening return, and a portion of the night journey" means seek assistance in maintaining worship by performing it during invigorating times. "Morning departure" is the beginning of the day, "evening return" is after midday, and "night journey" is traveling in the last part of the night or throughout it. These times are the most suitable for maintaining worship without hardship, because this world is a transitional abode to the hereafter.
