What is the ruling on cosmetic eye surgery to reduce one eye that is larger than the other; is this considered altering God's creation or a treatment for something outside the natural order?

If the eye is deformed or defective, there is no objection to performing surgery to restore it to its natural state and remove the defect and deformity. This is based on the decision of the Islamic Fiqh Academy permitting necessary and essential cosmetic surgery, which aims to restore the shape and function of body organs to their natural state, and to repair congenital or accidental defects that cause physical or psychological harm.
