Is laser eye surgery considered a change in Allah's creation, and what is the extent of its permissibility?

Medical treatment is permissible, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Seek medical treatment, for Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, has not created a disease without also creating a cure for it, except for one disease: old age." Based on this, there is no objection to this operation, because treating congenital deformities is not considered an unlawful alteration of Allah's creation. Scholars have made an exception for it due to necessity.
