What is the authenticity of the hadith: "Set up a tent for me by Khadijah's grave"?

The Prophet's love and faithfulness to his wife Khadijah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is well-known. This is evident from his saying: "Indeed, I have been granted her love." Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, would become jealous due to his frequent mentions of her, and he found comfort in hearing the voice of Halah, Khadijah's sister.

As for the hadith that claims the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ordered his tent to be pitched in Al-Hajoun for the sake of Khadijah's grave, it has no basis and is known only through some contemporary preachers. The origin of this claim might be a mistaken connection between the Prophet's order to fix his banner in Al-Hajoun during the conquest of Mecca and the fact that Khadijah was buried there. This is a clear error for several reasons:

1. It has not been reported in any authentic or weak hadith that the reason for pitching the tent was for Khadijah's grave. 2. Al-Hajoun was a public cemetery for the people of Mecca, and Khadijah's grave was not distinguished within it. 3. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, explicitly stated his place of descent and described it in a way unrelated to Khadijah's grave, saying: "Our lodging tomorrow, Allah willing, will be in the valley of Banu Kinanah, where they pledged themselves to disbelief."

Therefore, it is necessary to verify what is attributed to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, for the authentic and confirmed narrations are sufficient.
