Is a wife considered sinful if she refuses to kiss her husband with a "French kiss" due to his continuous verbal abuse, and must she overcome that to fulfill his desire?

A wife's obedience to her husband is obligatory, as long as it does not involve disobedience to Allah. It is one of the means of entering Paradise after fulfilling the obligatory duties. It is advised to strive against one's self in responding to the husband and showing kindness to him, and not to reciprocate his bad treatment in kind, as that only increases problems and does not solve them. Allah has disciplined His servants by saying: "Repel evil with that which is best" (Quran 41:34). If the wife applies this with her husband, it may lead to his rectification and a change in his condition. If she is sometimes unable to respond to him, there is no harm, provided that this is not a permanent behavior for solving problems.
