What is the ruling on (Islamic) chanting inside the mosque, with melodious intonation and elongation, imitating the actions of singers, with two people in the front and five in the back?

It is permissible to recite poetry in the mosque if it is in praise of Islam or an incitement to jihad and virtues. Indeed, Hassan recited poetry in the mosque, and Umar passed by him and did not rebuke him; rather, he said: "I used to recite in it, and in it was one who was better than you" (meaning the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him). However, reciting poetry in the mosque is forbidden if it leads to clamor and raised voices; due to the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him: "And beware of the clamor of the markets." As for Islamic anthems in general, they are permissible if they do not contain anything forbidden in their words or musical instruments, and there is no imitation of the wicked.
