What is the ruling on a widow and her daughters moving to live in another city without a mahram in search of livelihood?

There is no objection to a widow, after completing her iddah (waiting period), moving out of her husband's home and city and residing wherever she wishes. The requirement of a mahram (unmarriageable kin) applies to travel, not to the place of residence.
