What are the signs of a soothsayer, and are physiognomy, intuition, and predicting the future considered soothsaying?

Astrology is divided into two categories: The first is permissible, which involves learning the movement of constellations and stars to determine the hours of the night, the direction of the Qibla, and to navigate at night. The second is forbidden, which involves observing horoscopes with the belief that they have an influence and predicting the future. This is a form of forbidden magic. As for firasah (physiognomy/discernment) and intuition, they are not a form of astrology. Firasah is the ability to discern certain conditions through apparent signs; it is a light that Allah casts into the heart of His servant, by which he distinguishes between truth and falsehood, and it is proportionate to the strength of one's faith.
