The answer

The Noble Scribes (Kiraman Katibin) constantly accompany a person, whether Muslim or disbeliever, pure or impure; they never leave them. As for the angels of mercy, they leave a person who is in a state of ritual impurity (junub) until he performs ablution (wudu), based on the statement of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "Three types of people the angels do not approach: the corpse of a disbeliever, one who is smeared with perfume (khaluq), and one who is in a state of ritual impurity (junub) until he performs ablution."
