What is the ruling on working in drawing (plastic art) for someone who has an important functional part, such as designing internet pages?

It is not permissible to engage in drawing if it involves drawing images of things with souls, such as humans and animals, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "Indeed, those who make these images will be tormented on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them: 'Give life to what you have created.'" However, drawing natural landscapes, ornaments, and engravings is permissible, based on Gabriel's saying to the Prophet, peace be upon him: "I came to you last night, and nothing prevented me from entering except that there were statues at the door, and there was a curtain in the house with images on it, and there was a dog in the house. So command that the head of the statue in the house be cut off so that it becomes like the shape of a tree, and command that the curtain be cut and made into two discarded cushions that are trodden upon, and command the dog to be expelled."
