What is the ruling on a wife refusing her husband due to his continuous insults and false accusations, and the interference of his sisters in their lives in a way that affects her relationship with him? And is she considered sinful for that?

The Sharia commanded the husband to live with his wife with kindness and to treat her well. If a husband insults his wife or falsely accuses her, he is abusive and violates the Sharia, and he must verify any news that reaches him about her. The husband should not allow his sisters to interfere in their marital life. It is not obligatory for the wife, by Sharia, to seek permission from the husband’s sisters for a voluntary fast; permission for that is for the husband alone. The husband's sisters do not have the right to expel the wife from her home, nor is the wife obligated to live with the husband's relatives or serve them. The wife does not have the right to prevent her husband from intimacy except for a legitimate excuse, and his insulting her is not a legitimate excuse for that. The wife may seek a divorce due to clear harm from remaining under the husband’s marital bond, while considering the benefit of deliberation, especially when there are children. Affinal kinship does not establish true blood relation, yet the wife must be keen to maintain ties with her in-laws. The husband has the right to prevent his wife from working if she did not stipulate that before the contract, and the wife is not obligated to care for her sister-in-law's children, nor is it permissible to force her to do so.
