Is it permissible to give Zakat al-Fitr as sweets such as baklava and the like, or dough products like couscous and macaroni, or milk or canned tomatoes?

Zakat al-Fitr is to be given from the common and staple food of the land, such as wheat and rice. It is not permissible to give it from other things unless they become a basic food for the people, or if it is given in monetary value according to those who permit it.
