Does the barber's trimming of some head hair above the ear – to facilitate defining the edges of the sideburns – constitute a form of Qaza'?

We hope that the aforementioned trimming does not fall under al-qazaʿ (shaving part of the head and leaving part). Al-Qazaʿ pertains specifically to head hair, and scholars have differed on whether the hair of the sideburns is considered part of the head or part of the face.
