Is it permissible to use Zakat funds or allocated charity funds, upon the realization of profit, to purchase an Eid al-Adha sacrifice (Uḍḥiyah)?

It is not permissible to buy a sacrificial animal with zakat money, because it does not belong to the giver of zakat; rather, it belongs to the eight categories of recipients mentioned in the Quran. It is permissible to buy it with money from voluntary charity. However, if the charity is obligatory due to a vow, then it is not permissible to spend it on buying a sacrificial animal; rather, it must be spent on what it was vowed for.
